September 24, 2015 – Bemz, known for its designer sofa covers for IKEA furniture, is launching this autumn's trend report. A glamorous, snug and updated 70s feel sums up the style. Colourful furniture, dark wood and brass accents set the tone. Shades of blue meet warm yellow and pink. It is all about combining new fabrics to create a chic 70s style with modern influences. From September 27, the trend report and the new fabrics will be available at Bemz.com.

To create the Deco Glam look, let plain fabrics in trend-setting colours take centre stage. Choose accents with geometric patterns, such as the fabric Kvarter from Bemz (inspired by a pattern found on a vintage 70s scarf).  Furniture made of plastic, metal and other non-organic materials also work well. Do not forget to frame the look in black, whether as table legs, window frames or wall panelling, as well as adding small table and floor lamps for the right ambiance. To complete the look, include a touch of shiny brass coupled with fluffy cushions and wall-to-wall carpeting for a perfect hit of 70s warmth and popularity.

As part of the trend report, Bemz is launching four new fabrics that help you recreate the look. Soft Chenille – a fabric made of velvet yarn, now available in three bright, modern shades: Steel Blue, Mineral Blue and Rose. Bemz has also added hot Straw Yellow in Tegnér Melange. The palette is a combination of updated and classic colours.

and [NEW] Steel Blue Chenille, £179.

Here Bemz has chosen to cover three modular Kivik one-seaters in different shades of blue to create one extra long, welcoming sofa. Bemz has also selected Stocksund as the perfect classic piece for the Deco Glam look because it is luxurious and fits perfectly with 70s-inspired design elements.

Many people who think back to the '70s think of corduroy, brown, orange and wood paneling. Instead we want to create a more glamorous 70s style in our homes this autumn, think Charlie's Angels, Studio 54, and Bianca Jagger,” says Lesley Pennington, CEO and founder of Bemz.
