Today Ironhand 1.6 is launched, the latest active soft exoskeleton from Bioservo Technologies that further optimizes the user experience. The new Ironhand allows the operator to configure the glove to fit the work situation at hand, it comes with a new glove for improved comfort and additional carrying solutions for ergonomic adaptions.

The Ironhand system has been put to the test at several of the leading companies within the automotive, aerospace and construction industries. Based on the experience and feedback received, a new version of the system has been developed. A system with all the benefits of the previous version but with new features that will improve the user experience.

Easy configuration by the operator

With Ironhand 1.6, the IronConnect app is introduced. IronConnect is an android based app for configuration and profile management of the Ironhand glove. The application is primarily for the operators, enabling them to adjust the configurations and create customized profiles according to their individual preferences and specific work tasks at any time throughout the workday. IronConnect is the first app released in the IronConnect cloud concept with administration and data collection services that will be introduced at a later stage.

Improved comfort and increased dexterity

The Ironhand 1.6 glove offers enhanced design and improved materials to optimize the usability in various work situations. The redesigned glove means improved comfort for the operators as well as an increased dexterity.

Additional carrying solution for improved ergonomics

In order to broaden the range of work situations in which Ironhand is suitable, Bioservo launches a hip-carry in addition to the existing backpack. The power pack is worn in a belt on the hip and can be used with or without suspenders as support. This gives the operators the opportunity to choose the carrying solution that best fits the nature of their work. Both the hip-carry and the backpack come in different sizes for an optimal fit.
