Bonava and Bantorget Hyresbostäder have together won a land allocation competition for rental units in the Väsjön development area in Sollentuna. The detailed development plan has gained legal force, and Bonava will develop 231 rental apartments there.

Väsjön has been identified as a prioritised development area in Sollentuna, given its attractive location directly adjacent to Väsjöbacken. The area is located close to nature, with good connections to the centre of Stockholm.

- I’m pleased to be expanding our project and development rights portfolio in a growing area of Stockholm. The acquisition is in line with our strategy of developing affordable housing through rental units where people can have the highest quality of life, says Fredrik Hemborg, Business Unit Manager at Bonava Sweden.

Bonava will take over the property once the municipality has built up the road network and land parcelling has taken place, which is estimated for the first quarter of 2019. The first sod is also expected to be turned in 2019, with the first residents scheduled to move in by Q1 2021.
