BUPA CARE HOME RESIDENTS GO BANANAS FOR FRUITY FRIDAY

Bupa care home residents at Broadoak Manor Nursing Home, Mulcrow Close, Parr are going bananas this week in support of World Cancer Research Fund’s (WCRF) Fruity Friday campaign.

On Friday 15 May, residents and staff of Broadoak Manor Nursing Home are getting fruity by hosting a fruit themed day.

Nicola Garner, Bupa’s Broadoak Manor home manager, said, “Campaigns like Fruity Friday are a great way of getting across the ‘5-a-day’ message whilst having a bit of fun. I hope that residents and residents will enjoy the day and make it a great success.”

Fruity Friday is an annual awareness and fundraising campaign, held by World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK), to increase public awareness of the links between diet, nutrition and cancer prevention, and to raise valuable funds for their cancer research and education programmes.
