Bupa care home residents at Stadium Court Residential and Nursing Home, Greyhound Way, Stoke on Trent are going bananas this week in support of World Cancer Research Fund’s (WCRF) Fruity Friday campaign.

On Friday May 15, residents and staff of Bupa’s Stadium Court Residential and Nursing Home are getting fruity by hosting an event which will include fruit tasting, fruit kebabs, sorbets and smoothies.

Sandra Bradbury, Bupa’s Stadium Court home manager, said, “Campaigns like Fruity Friday are a great way of getting across the ‘5-a-day’ message whilst having a bit of fun. I hope that all of our residents and relatives will enjoy the day and make it a great success.”

Fruity Friday is an annual awareness and fundraising campaign, held by World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF UK), to increase public awareness of the links between diet, nutrition and cancer prevention, and to raise valuable funds for their cancer research and education programmes.
