Residents and staff at Bupa’s Southlands Nursing and Residential Home, Ripon Road, Harrogate are looking forward to their Christmas coffee afternoon on Saturday 28 November, 2.00pm to 4.00pm. The event is being held to support St. Michael’s Hospice. The home will be holding a number of Christmas stalls including a gift stall selling St. Michael’s Hospice merchandise. A tombola will be held and refreshments served. All proceeds from the day will be donated to the hospice. Bupa’s Southlands Nursing and Residential Home is inviting relatives, friends and the community to come and join in the fun and support both the home and St. Michael’s Hospice. Val Storey, activity co-ordinator at Bupa’s Southlands says: “Our Christmas Coffee Afternoon is a great chance for those residents unable to leave the home to go Christmas shopping to browse the stalls and pick up a few gifts here. We regularly support St. Michael’s Hospice and all the great work they do and we are hoping to raise much needed funds to help maintain the level of work they achieve. It should be a fantastic day and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone into the home.”
