The first screening will be held on Friday 11 December at 2.00pm, entry will be £2.00 with refreshments provided. ‘Whisky Galore’ will be the first film to be shown and details the exploits of a Scottish island which falls prey to a whisky shortage. This 1949 comedy is based on the real life shipwreck of the S.S Politician. The home is delighted to invite older members of the community to come and enjoy this classic film with residents and staff. Mary McLeish, activitiy co-ordinator at Bupa’s Newcarron Court Care Home, says: “Everybody is really looking forward to the start of our monthly film club and ‘Whisky Galore’ has been a particular favourite of the residents. We have some great films scheduled for the coming months and we look forward to welcoming everyone to the home.”
