PEDDLE POWER TAKES FUNDRAISERS TO FRANCE!

Thursday, 28 May 2009 Well wishers will be bidding ‘bon voyage’ to Abigail Symons on Wednesday 3 June as she sets off on a four day cycle ride from London to Paris. Abigail, an activity co-ordinator at Bupa’s Alveston Leys Nursing Home, will be cycling with five other women to raise money for the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust to fund vital research. Abigail’s motivation is Charlie, her friend’s 9 year old son. Charlie was diagnosed with a brain tumour in August 2007. He has since had it removed and has been undergoing courses of radio and chemotherapy. Abigail says: “I wanted to do something practical to raise funds for the charity. It had to be big to match the ordeal that Charlie and his family have been going through. The team can’t wait to get peddling!” - ENDS -
