Bupa’s Premier Court Residential and Nursing Home, Thorley, Bishop's Stortford, Hertfordshire, recently welcomed The Three Valley Male Voice Choir to perform a number of songs for residents and staff at the home. The event saw the choir perform an array of musical numbers which included songs from Les Misérables, Miss Saigon and Phantom of the Opera. A buffet supper followed the performance. The event was made extra special as resident Roy Davidson celebrated his 100th birthday and the Mayor of Bishops Shortford, Councillor Colin Woodward, was in attendance throughout the concert and enjoyed spending time speaking with residents and staff. A raffle was drawn after the performance and all money raised was donated to The Poppy Appeal. Debbie Pegram, home manager at Bupa’s Premier Court Residential and Nursing Home, said: “The performance by The Three Valley Male Voice Choir was fantastic and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the night. We managed to raise vital funds for The Poppy Appeal and everyone was overjoyed at meeting the Mayor. Roy had a fantastic birthday and the choir made his day extra special for him.”
