WEST RIDINGS CHRISTMAS EXTRAVAGANZA

Residents and staff at Bupa’s West Ridings Residential and Nursing Home, Off Lingwell Gate Lane, Lofthouse, Wakefield, are looking forward to their Christmas extravaganza on Tuesday 8 December at 1.00pm. The home will be entertained with a drama sketch from pupils at Outwood Grange Academy. Kitchen staff at the home have also been asked by the local sheltered housing community to donate a Christmas cake. Two cakes have been baked; one traditional and one novelty and judging will take place to decide the winner. This will then be given as a gift to sheltered housing residents. Sandra Hustwick, Bupa’s West Ridings home manager says: “Everyone is looking forward to celebrating Christmas at the home and we are especially excited about the drama production put on by the pupils from Outwood Grange Academy. There has been fierce competition regarding the Christmas cake competition – may the best cake win.”
