BizTweet Rockets Dubai Airport to #1 Spot for Twitter Interactions in First Month

Award-winning social decision software BizTweet has helped Dubai Airport to climb into the number one spot for interactions on Twitter – just one month after it was implemented to provide real-time updates to passengers in the airport. The software helped Dubai Airport to beat 750 other global airports to become the most interactive airport Twitter account, with a 99.89% interaction share over the course of February.

BizTweet, created by TIC, is a unique innovation which increases a corporation’s ability to communicate automatically with customers. Rather than commissioning an entire team of staff to craft replies on social networks, which can be costly and counterproductive, BizTweet gives clients the ability to segment their customer base and send out pre-configured tweets which align with the customer’s profile and data. In a world where social interaction is increasing significantly, and there is no current scalable solution for complex, high-volume social communications decisions, BizTweet has proven to be invaluable – especially for one of the world’s busiest airports.

Paul Brugger, founder and CEO of BizTweet says, “Social media is growing at 20% month on month, and there are currently more than 288 million monthly active users on Twitter alone. This gives large organisations a real conundrum – and many have no choice but to employ more staff to keep up with the demand. BizTweet provides a simple solution, as showcased perfectly in Dubai. Under the airport-branded Twitter handle @DXBUpdates, the service provides passengers with real-time flight information personalised to their individual social profile, redefining social customer service entirely. Airports and airlines can now pro-actively communicate relevant information to millions of passengers with minimal resources.”

Matthew Horobin for Dubai Airports said, “Given that we manage the world’s largest international airport, Dubai Airports is always looking for leading-edge innovation that can add value to our passenger and BizTweet is a great example of exactly that. Twitter is a key information and engagement tool – particularly in Middle East. BizTweet allows Dubai Airports to leverage this platform to offer timely personalised information and relevant offers to our passengers on the go and early feedback suggests this is much appreciated.”

BizTweet provides a solution for the issue that’s causing real problems for large organisations: it offers a way to provide an individual social media experience for the customer, without the manpower necessary to craft individual messages. Rather than manually composing every communication, or ignoring customers altogether, BizTweet allows organisations to pre-define messages based on flight details or social profiles, and communicate them directly to the passenger.

Whether it’s information about a delayed flight, or a great offer in an airport store, BizTweet has certainly proved successful, judging by the incredible interaction statistics that the @DXBUpdates account boasts for the month of February.
