HoopaDoo: The Learning Tool Toy That Can Go The Distance
A brand new innovative learning toy is going the distance for parents looking for gender neutral, educational toys which can keep toddlers occupied on-the-go. HoopaDoo breaks the age-specific mould, adapting and growing with a child using different learning levels. It also breaks the gender specific stereotypes which many toys are designed around today.
In a survey conducted with parents of pre-school children, the company behind HoopaDoo, Mooshkie Moo, found that 99% of parents agreed that their child should be able to play with any toy, regardless of their gender. The HoopaDoo stacker toy has been created to break these gender boundaries and aid the development of boys and girls alike.
Featuring nine colourful stackers and corresponding double sided story cards, the revolutionary HoopaDoo is also lightweight and easily portable. The plastic stackers stack onto the base, and then a clip-on lid keeps it all together. The travel-friendly toy is every parent’s answer to the all-time issue of keeping kids entertained while travelling or eating out.
Shim Offor, the mumpreneur behind HoopaDoo said, “For too long we’ve been forcing little girls to play with pink toys and dolls and boys to play with mechanical toys such as cars and lorries – this starts as soon as a baby is born. I realised that many parents agreed this was wrong, and decided to design a gender-neutral toy which also aided learning and development.
“HoopaDoo is unique in so many ways; thanks to its multiple learning levels it grows with your child from six months to four years and above. It breaks gender stereotypes, allowing all children to enjoy the shapes including a star, a turtle, a propeller and a ship wheel. Additionally, it’s practical too as it is lightweight and really easy to carry as a toy on-the-go to take to Grandma’s, playgroup or to play with in the car.”
The colourful stackers and story cards allows children to identify shapes, textures, colours and eventually words. HoopaDoo can also help develop problem solving skills and be used to encourage storytelling, or utilised in a group setting to tell stories with the dedicated story cards.
HoopaDoo is the subject of a Kickstarter campaign with 23 days to go. The children’s company Mooshkie Moo is looking to raise £68, 820 in order to put the toy into full production and make it affordable for parents across the globe. There are some incredible rewards for backers, including the chance to reserve your very own HoopaDoo for just £19, and donating a little more means you can have the stackers personalised with a name. For those with grown up children or no relatives to give the HoopaDoo toy to, backers have the opportunity to pay it forward and donate the toy to a UK nursery or children’s ward.
