Laureen Couture showcases her Aurore Collection in Spectacular Style at New York Fashion Week 2015
On the 12thof September in the midst of New York Fashion Week, Laureen Couture took over an intimate space to showcase her Aurore Collection. A show like no other at Fashion Week, models graced the catwalk dressed from head to toe in luxurious white.
Far from the ordinary, the models were accompanied by Opera Singer Mr. David Serero who's mesmerising voice filled the room as the crowd took in the designs. Singing 'la vie en rose,' a video played behind the opera singer, displaying visions of inspiration, that influenced Laureens latest collection.
Laureen creates luxury custom wedding dresses, as well as evening dresses and red carpet worthy gowns, all of which are crafted in France and follow the rules of Haute Couture. Handmade works of art, each dress as a one off. Laureen sees each and every client by consultation, before taking measurements. Next she creates the design, and then goes on to make a cotton dress for fittings. Finally fabrication of the dress begins, using silk, leather, plastic and Callis lace, with each dress being crafted at her studio in Paris. Final touches are added after more fittings and finishes are completed.
The talented seamstresses that craft Laureens designs are all experienced in couture, having worked previously for Dior, Chanel and Jean Paul Gauthier. Each and every dress in the collection is unique, and Laureen never makes the same dress more than once. Based in Miami, Laureen travels all around the world for her clients.
The new collection was met with great excitement at NYFW, and the show was truly spectacular. As models swept down the catwalk in their floor length designs, the crowd watched on in awe. Laureen's designs are truly striking and the NYFW 2015 show, complete with opera singer generated much excitement.
