Emma Deadman, a mum of two from Warwickshire, has launched an exciting range of wooden toys, designed to inspire imagination and creative play for babies and preschoolers.

The new website’s colourful and distinct range of toys have been selected with quality and visual stimuli in mind; attributes which the creator believes are key to engagement, education and entertainment for children in their early years.

Emma explains: “Toys need to be fun, colourful and provide hours of entertainment, but they also need to be educational, good quality and stand the test of time”.

With two young children, Emma is familiar with the endless sea of plastic and battery-operated gadgets available on the market, aimed at keeping children entertained, but she feels that nothing matches the charm and creativity that is afforded by traditional wooden toys.

“Without the distraction of modern life, timeless wooden toys encourage imaginative play with endless potential. It’s not a case of pushing a button and watching a battery-operated toy do its own thing - children must manually push, pull, turn, lift, shake, rattle and roll,” she says.

“It also goes without saying that wooden toys have far less impact on the environment than plastic ones. Sustainably sourced timber and natural materials contain less, if any, toxins, and thus are much safer for your child.”

The colourful and imaginative range of toys includes puzzles, activity toys, musical instruments and train sets, all designed to provide endless hours of fun.

The range of wooden toys are available online through the Wood and Wonder official shop and gift wrapping services are available for any items purchased. Special occasions are catered for, with Christmas, new baby and birthday wrapping services all available if you are looking for an original gift idea, packaged and delivered to the recipient’s door.

Emma is confident that her range of wooden toys are really special so would like to invite journalists and feature writers to accept toy samples, which are available to trial and share with their families. To request a sample, please contact

Emma Deadman is a mum of two - a three-year-old boy and a six-month-old baby girl. She started Wood and Wonder in 2015, whilst on maternity leave, after realising that her house was flooded with plastic toys, which she felt were limiting her childrens’ creativity and imagination.

She has launched, which features an online shop and gift wrapping service. Emma can be contacted for further information, comments and samples at
