Safety Coaching Delivers Successful Training with LafargeHolcim and Achieves Zero Fatality Rates
Safety Coaching, a leading safety consultancy, has helped partners LafargeHolcim create safer sites, as well as significantly improve incident reporting in the construction of new cement plants across the world.
Safety Coaching successfully delivered a number of bespoke safety courses for all levels of management involved in capital expenditure projects, as well as coaching and mentoring sessions to embed learning and develop management responsibility on safety.
The company developed a comprehensive program for improving construction safety in projects employing up to 5000 workers. With practical, hands-on concepts and an emphasis on consequence management from both a positive and negative perspective, Safety Coaching helped to create an ethos of supervisory ownership for safety, rather than an over-reliance on safety professionals supporting the project.
LafargeHolcim is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of essential building materials, with a presence in 90 countries and more than 115,000 employees across the world. The delivery of the many successful courses cements Safety Coaching’s status as a leader in all elements of safety coaching and development.
Rob Shore, of Safety Coaching, says, “We’re very pleased with our successful delivery of a variety of training and coaching courses to LafargeHolcim, helping them to achieve a zero fatality rate in the sites where we have been directly involved and boosted safety credentials in the construction of their cement plants in locations such as the USA, the UK, Russia, India, Brazil and Indonesia. We’ve helped to develop a sense of ownership of safety within these construction projects, improving the culture within the firm and protecting all staff, from construction workers up to senior management.”
Robert Nores, Head of Performance & Support, Project Management & Engineering at LafargeHolcim, says, “Rob’s services were excellent throughout the project. He developed a complete program for improving safety conditions – a program which is now being used to improve construction safety at our sites across the world. Rob’s personal and professional competencies make him very much appreciated everywhere he goes. I would certainly recommend Rob and Safety Coaching to those seeking a professional, passionate and engaging safety coach.
