Sustainable Fashion Brand ‘I Miss Sophie’ Offers Savvy, Eco-Conscious Style for Urban Trendsetters
A luxury new fashion brand is proving that sustainable fashion doesn’t mean sacrificing on cutting-edge style. ï Miss Sophïe is a chic new ready to wear label for women who want certified organic fabrics, hand-crafted garments and street-savvy style that sets the trends, rather than following them. Coming to stockists in January 2015, the sustainable fashion brand will soon hit the wish-lists of any woman wanting to endorse sustainability without compromising on their unique sense of personal style. Every piece in the collection is designed with passion and love in the heart of Chelsea, London, where the brand was conceived.
ï Miss Sophïe was founded by Sophie Esther Heussner, a German designer with experience of working for fast fashion brands and high fashion houses. Sophie Esther always had an ambition to create her own sustainable clothing line, and while working in Hong Kong, she entered a competition for eco-friendly fashion – and reached the final. The endorsement from the judges gave Sophie the encouragement she needed to branch out on her own, and the resulting brand ties fashion-forward style with a distinct eco-friendly philosophy - with stunning results.
Ms Heussner, Co-Founder and Designer at ï Miss Sophïe, says, “It was always my dream to create a clothing line made from stunning organic fabrics, integrating sustainable practices and policies throughout. Myself and my team have brought together design ideas from across the world to create our first capsule collection for SS ’15, showcasing a signature style that combines urban edge with dreamy, feminine touches.”
She adds, “Every design has a limited production run to ensure the exclusivity of every piece in the I Miss Sophie collection – my team are looking forward to unleashing our designs on the world in the coming months and giving women a brand new place to create a fashion-forward look that exudes luxury and is totally sustainable.”
As a hub of luxe fashion, the region has inspired many of the looks in the I Miss Sophie range, including the staple – soft silk dresses, layered with that urban classic: the leather jacket. The clothes are made in the UK from 100% certified organic fabrics, in designs that won’t be found in an average High Street store. Each piece is designed to accentuate the beautiful fabrics used, whether they’re playful dresses or tough jackets.
The brand recently joined London’s PURE fair, where it received a glowing reception. Buyers could tell that everything was created with heart and love, and liked the passion behind the products. The first collections covers ready-to-wear fashion, knitwear and woven pieces and a range of accessories.
