The JuJu Shop Launches New Store
The JuJu Shop Launches New Store
British creativity and home-grown design talent is given a welcome boost this month, as Leeds-based TheJuJuShop.com host a launch party in honour of the opening of their new store. Shoppers are invited to discover a new take on interior design and gift giving at the grand opening party on Friday 23rdNovember from 6pm until 9pm. TheJuJuShop.com has become one of the most exciting hubs of UK artistic talent in recent years, a selection of which will be showcased at the launch event.
A limited number of goody bags will be available for the first people through the door, each stuffed with discount vouchers and other goodies. A small number of the goody bags will contain a raffle ticket with the chance to win a one-off special prize during the night, so turning up early is a must. Drinks will be offered on arrival, with a bar set up in the Corn Exchange for the event and a selection of hors d’oeuvres circulating all evening. After collecting their gift bag, party goers are invited to peruse the extensive selections of home-wares, cushions, candle holders, wall art and ceramics created by some of the most talented craftsmen in the country.
The event will also feature a selection of live music and the whole launch will be hosted by a local radio personality (name TBC). Leeds singer/songwriter Ricky Fleming will perform two 15-minute sets. In-keeping with The JuJu Shop’s commitment to harnessing the best of home-grown talent, Ricky Fleming has been touring clubs and music venues around the Leeds area in recent years, and has developed quite a following due to his acoustic music and soulful voice. His debut album is due to be released next month and he will be playing a mixture of new tracks, older favourites and some rare cover versions. Compared to the likes of Ed Sheeran and The Script, he is an act not to be missed, and will provide the perfect accompaniment to an evening of browsing some stunning original artwork and other creations. Get a taste of what to expect by following @RickyFleming on Twitter or on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Ricky-Fleming-Musician/193040724112590
Also during the evening there will be a 20 minute set by Skye (AKA Lyndsay Dale). She is a current Performing Arts student at Leeds City College. Syke has been singing professionally and writing her own material for some years now and will soon be progressing on to university to study music. Skye’s vocal and song writing style fuses together the genres of country, folk, pop and rock and her songs pull on the heart felt emotions of relationships. Skye’s vocals are reminiscent of Alanis Morrisette meets Taylor Swift, narrative lyrics performed with attitude and intensity. Skye is signed to local Leeds record and management company Wee Dog Records, Twitter: @skyesounds for a preview.

About The JuJu Shop: We're passionate about finding interesting unusual products for you and your home or one of those unique presents you just can't find anywhere else. Our aim is to work with a number of talented individual artists, designers and crafts people as well as larger scale producers who we feel meet our values, providing our customers with the opportunity to purchase something really unique, unusual, high quality, exclusive and beautiful.
We decided to set up the JuJu Shop after realising that there is a vast wealth of individuals producing some amazingly intricate and wonderful products, struggling to find a good home at a fair price. Through our site and shop we aim to give these talented people a platform to do just that.
We also love and adore great design and items that can actually make a tangible difference in your life by providing you with inspiration every time you look at them. We aim to provide you with products that can inspire you, maybe even inspiring you to get creative yourself, to get out your crayons, dust down your tools, set up that easel and get cracking today.
