AGREEMENT SIGNED WITH VOESTALPINE FOR TRIAL DELIVERY OF IRON ORE
 
Dannemora has signed an agreement with Austrian steel company Voestalpine AG for the delivery of approx. 10,000 tonnes of iron ore products. The ore will be shipped from the port of Hargshamn and delivered to Voestalpine's iron ore storage facility in Rotterdam. Full-scale trial production is scheduled to take place around the turn of the year in one of Voestalpine's blast furnaces in Linz when the Dannemora ore's properties will be assessed combined with other ores.
 
Staffan Bennerdt, Group President and CEO comments: "I am delighted that we have now signed our first trial delivery agreement. It is heartening to observe such genuine interest in the Dannemora ore despite the difficult situation in the economy."
 
The Dannemora iron ore mine will achieve annual production of 1.5 M tonnes of iron ore products at full capacity. Iron ore production is scheduled to commence during summer 2011, with full capacity expected in the second half of 2012.
