Emission-free construction sites: instagrid presents their instagrid ONE at Building Holland in Amsterdam
Where does electric power on construction sites come from? Usually still from fuel-powered generators, which have high levels of pollutant emissions that impact negatively on the climate, and also on the health of construction workers. The Ludwigsburg start-up instagrid has developed a sustainable alternative: a portable high-power battery system which reflects the company’s goal of making construction sites emission-free. instagrid is now presenting its innovative solution instagrid ONE at one of the leading European trade fairs – the Building Holland in Amsterdam.
instagrid ONE is the world’s first portable 230V battery system designed for professional use. The universal socket provides 3 600 W continuous power without any direct emissions, and 2.1 kWh energy in a compact design of only 20 kg. The reduction of size and weight is achieved by proprietary power converter technology with a modular design. The design utilizes recycled aluminium and plastics and is designed to be easily separable to ensure sustainable return and replacement of individual building material groups into the recycling loop. The product is plug & play and can be charged from 0 to 100% in 2.5 hours and is maintenance free. It can be easily carried by one person and enables the user to work flexibly and efficiently. At half the weight and one third the size, it delivers way more power than similar devices. The product has the potential to replace countless diesel generators in the construction, event, film and media, government, and first aid sectors.
