Bergen, Norway, March 14, 2013. Vizrt Ltd. (Oslo Main List: VIZ)

Vizrt Ltd. today announced a deal worth USD 580,000 for the implementation of a suite of broadcast graphics products with a TV network in South America.

The network, a new customer for Vizrt, purchased the systems from Vizrt because of the reputation Vizrt has earned for quality graphics systems and excellent local support in the rapidly growing South American television market.

The purchase includes Vizrt’s template-based newsroom workflow driven by Viz Content Pilot. Journalists in the newsroom access graphics templates directly from within their newsroom control systems (NCRS). Once the templates are edited, the journalists build an playlist that is then triggered live on-air in the control room using Vizrt’s character generator (CG), Viz Trio.

In the newsroom, editors can also access graphic templates from within their craft editing systems using the Viz NLE, a product extension of Viz Trio. The graphics are placed on a timeline and adjusted for content and timing. Metadata is stored as part of the compositions, allowing editors to go back and make further changes as needed.

The TV network’s studio is driven by Viz Virtual Studio. This virtual set technology allows the network to have complete and flexible creative control of their virtual set content. It also allows templated graphics from the newsroom to be triggered as part of the set.

All graphic content from the newsroom, the control room to the studio are rendered with Vizrt’s powerful real-time 3D compositing system Viz Engine.
