September 17, 2019, Uppsala, Sweden – Dicot AB (publ) (“Dicot”) today announced that the company has agreed to sponsor Scandinavian Society for Sexual Medicine (SSSM) and help two upcoming scientists to attend and present their research results at European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM). Next ESSM will be during January 23-25, 2020 in Prague.

The Scandinavian Society for Sexual Medicine (SSSM) was founded 2005 in Copenhagen by Swedish, Norwegian and Danish colleagues to create a forum for sexual medicine research, education and clinical practice. Sexual medicine is defined as the discipline that deals with the sexual well-being of man on the basis of physiological, psychological and socio-cultural aspects.

SSSM is affiliated with the European Society for Sexual Medicine (ESSM) and the International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM). We also have good and productive contact with both the Nordic Association for Clinical Sexology (NACS) and the 3 national associations for sexology in Denmark, Norway and Sweden.

Researchers in the field for sexual medicine in Scandinavia, who has submitted an abstract to ESSM’s annual meeting, will have the opportunity to apply for grants covering their travel costs. The board of SSSM will select two researchers to award.

“This will be an excellent opportunity for Scandinavian researchers to increase visibility in the European research community,” commented Associate Professor Astrid Højgaard, Chairman of SSSM.

“Dicot is focused on providing a higher quality of sexual well-being for men with erectile dysfunction and premature ejaculation. We are proud to sponsor scientists in sexual medicine,” says Göran Beijer, CEO of Dicot.
