Clean, Clear and Automatically Controlled

The Manitowoc high-capacity 1800 ice cube machine is the latest to be launched into the Indigo Series. The Indigo Series ice makers feature advanced diagnostics to ensure consistently pure, top quality ice is produced, with the minimum energy use. The Manitowoc Indigo Series 1800 ice machine is now available in the UK through Foodservice Equipment Marketing (FEM).

The 1800 model is the largest in the Indigo Series with the capability to produce up to 845kg of ice daily at the push of a button. It also benefits from the Indigo Series’ intelligent diagnostics system, which continually monitors all aspects of ice production to ensure reliable ice production, and provide feedback on any maintenance or cleaning required to keep the machines working at their best. This is communicated on an easy-to-read display, which is illuminated to make it clear to read in dimly lit environments.

The Indigo 1800 machine is programmable by on/off time, ice volume or bin level (with an additional bin level control accessory) to ensure ice production keeps up with varying demand and to reduce energy costs, by for example taking advantage of reduced night-time electricity rates.

To ensure consistency, a sensing probe constantly monitors the incoming water conditions and adjusts the machine accordingly, improving ice quality in hard water areas. A new patented LuminIce™ growth inhibitor is available which controls the growth of bacteria, mould and yeast in the food zone to keep the ice pure and uncontaminated.

The 1800’s corrosion resistant, stainless finished DuraTech™ exterior resists fingerprints and dirt making the machine easy to keep clean. The hinged front door swings outwards for easy access and removable parts, such as the distribution tube and sensing probes, make for fast, efficient and hygienic cleaning.
