Ahlsell expands its product range through the acquisition of Vårby Färghall and Södertälje Färghandel

Ahlsell has signed an agreement to acquire Vårby Färghall and Södertälje Färghandel. The companies have a total of 28 employees and the annual turnover amounted to 116 MSEK in 2022.

Vårby Färghall and Södertälje Färghandel are Sweden’s largest independent operator within paint and wallpaper, and have been providing their customers with paint, wallpaper and flooring for more than 100 years. In addition to the two stores, there is also a well-established online store at www.tapethandel.se and www.färgvaruhuset.se.

The companies will continue to operate under existing brands and the same management team.

The acquisition gives Ahlsell access to high competence, new customer groups and a wide range of surface treatment products, while Ahlsell’s broad product range, strong market presence and extensive logistics offering are made available to Vårby Färghall and Södertälje Färghandel’s customers. Together, these factors contribute to Ahlsell strengthening its total offering to all customers in the industry.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in March 2023.
