Following appointment of Gustav Bard as 3i Nordic Chairman, Tomas Ekman becomes Managing Director
Since entering the Nordic region in 2001, the 3i team has built a strong market position and investment track record. With the team’s success, the Nordic region has grown to become one of 3i´s most important investment areas globally. Gustav Bard has led the team for over 9 years.
As part of a natural organisational evolution, Tomas Ekman will now assume the role of Managing Director, 3i Nordic, and continue to build on 3i´s position of strength together with his partner colleagues Mattias Eklund, Fredrik Karlsson and Steffen Thomsen and the rest of the team. Gustav Bard will become 3i Nordic chairman. During 2011, Gustav Bard will gradually be reducing his time commitment to 3i while continuing to work as Nordic chairman and board member of 3i portfolio companies.
