IKEA comments on incident in the IKEA store in Dresden, Germany June 10th 2011
Yesterday evening, June 10th 2011, an incident with a small explosion took place in the IKEA store in Dresden, Germany. The store was evacuated, searched during the night and found safe before opening this morning.
Safety is always highest priority for IKEA, and our stores are only open when considered safe.
We have received reports about two persons complaining about ear pain, as a result of the incident. No other personal injuries have been reported.
IKEA had not received any threats prior to this incident. The German police is currently investigating the incident and therefore we can not comment this incident further.
