Lenovo vetää takaisin virtajohtoja: LS-15-merkinnällä varustetuissa johdoissa ylikuumenemisvaara

Lenovo vetää takaisin valmistamiaan IdeaPad-läppärien virtajohtoja mahdollisen ylikuumenemisvaaran vuoksi. Takaisinveto koskee helmikuusta 2011 kesäkuuhun 2012 myynnissä olleita IdeaPad-läppäreiden virtajohtoja, joissa on muuntajan päässä johtoa merkintä "LS-15". Vaara ja takaisinveto koskee vain johtoa, eli mukana tuleva muuntajakappale on turvallinen.

Takaisinvedettävien johtojen omistajia pyydetään lopettamaan niiden käyttö välittömästi ja ottamaan yhteyttä Lenovon asiakaspalveluun virtajohdon ilmaista vaihtamista varten.

Description

This voluntary recall involves certain LS-15 AC power cords distributed with IdeaPad notebook computers sold between Feb 2011and June 2012. The affected power cords are black in color, have a sticker with printed date code attached to the power cord and have an “LS-15” molded mark on the AC adapter end of the power cord.

Remedy

Customers should contact Lenovo to order a free replacement and should immediately unplug and stop using the power cord going from the AC Adapter to the wall outlet. Consumers should then cut the unplugged and affected LS-15 power cord in half using a pair of scissors and dispose of in recycle or waste bins. Consumers must save the power brick as the replacement cable will only be the cord going from the brick to the wall outlet. Consumers can continue to use the computer on battery power.

IdeaPad Products with the affected LS-15 power cords were sold at computer and electronics stores, authorized dealers and online at www.lenovo.com  from February 2011 through June 2012 for between $350 and $1,500
