London International Awards (LIA) sekä Global Fashion Awards in New York palkitsivat Wranglerin innovatiivisesta mainonnasta.

Wrangler’s marketing scores again!

Wrangler’s EMEA marketing was showered with awards last week. The iconic denim brand took Gold and Silver honours at the London International Awards (LIA), and won a further prize for most innovative digital initiative at the Global Fashion Awards in New York.

The London International Awards are presented for outstanding works in the field of advertising, design and digital media. Wrangler took Gold for its 2010 advertising campaign “Red.” Premium line Blue Bell also took Silver prize for its SS10 website at www.bluebelljeans.com

The SS10 website for Wrangler Blue Bell is a favourite with consumers and awards juries alike. Continuing a run of prizes that includes four Cannes Lions, the site was named Most Innovative Digital Initiative at the Global Fashion Awards, held at New York’s Waldorf Astoria hotel, and organized by leading trends forecaster WGSN.

Blue Bell’s website features legendary model Tony Ward in Blue Bell’s premium denim. Innovative interactivity allows visitors to manipulate Ward, throw him around and tear the clothes off his body. The site took Silver at the LIA for Navigation/Interactivity in Digital.

Adam Kakembo, marketing director Wrangler EMEA, said: “I am truly privileged to work with such creative teams, and delighted our work has been recognized by our peers in the fashion and creative communities. With marketing budgets under pressure, it is vital to drive innovation and creativity in our communications. This is how we connect with consumers and get the world talking about – and wearing – Wrangler.”

Editors note:

Then:
Wrangler's denim history goes back to 1904 when Charlie Hudson founded the Hudson Overall Company in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA. In 1919, the company is named Blue Bell and, in 1947, with the start of a range of jeans for cowboys, it receives a new name: Wrangler, the name of a working cowboy.

Now:
Wrangler is the original American outdoor denim brand. Wrangler’s unrivalled denim heritage lives on in contemporary cut jeans, still packed with seven signature details including flat copper rivets, the Rodeo Ben watch pocket and fully-felled outseams. Iconic designs such as the 27MW shirt and 11MJ jackets are beloved by denim connoisseurs and fashion fanatics alike.

Wrangler is committed to producing the best modern jeanswear. Progressive, contemporary fits such as the regular-tapered Ben for men, or the high-waisted skinny Jess for women, are backed up with directional finishes.
