Nokian Tyres launches a digital tyre service at Slush Helsinki 2016 – making our roads safer

Tyres are a risk factor in every 7th fatal accident caused by a passenger car or a van. [1]
Too many drivers are unaware of the condition of their cars’ tyres.
People are not that interested in tyres. Having them changed is about as exciting as going to the dentist.
Can we create safer roads with technology that makes tyres easier to deal with?
Nokian Tyres, in cooperation with Vianor, will launch a new service that digitises the tyre service business – making our roads safer. With this new service, Nokian Tyres takes a notable step towards a service-driven tyre business. The service will be introduced by Ari Lehtoranta, CEO, Nokian Tyres, and Ville Nikkola, Head of Business Area, Retail, Vianor.
The event will be spiced up by a panel discussion on how digital innovations can reduce carelessness in traffic and thus improve road safety. The panellists are:
