“Nando and Ross have honed their leadership skills with a broad range of assignments around the world and I know they will make a significant impact as presidents of the Asia Pacific and Europe Regions,” said Jim Barber, president, UPS International. “Like many of our executives, both of them started their careers as a package loader and driver, respectively, exemplifying our focus on leadership development and succession planning.”
Cesarone, a 25-year UPS veteran, will be responsible for all UPS operations in 56 countries and territories and more than 45,000 employees. Europe is UPS’s largest non-U.S. region, contributing approximately half of the more than $2 billion in international package operating profit generated over 2015. Prior to her role as Europe Region president, Miller served as president for UPS UK, Ireland, and Nordics, and during her time there successfully coordinated the delivery of more than 30 million items for the 2012 Olympic Games.
“Cindy led the Europe region through an exciting time of record business performance as well as an historic $200 million expansion of UPS’s European air hub in Cologne, Germany. As Cindy returns to the U.S. to assume the role of president of UPS Global Freight Forwarding, I would like to thank her for her leadership,” said Barber.
