HANZA opens thick metal factory in Finland
HANZA moves against the stream and expand its manufacturing in Finland, while broadening its offering in the thick metal area in close cooperation with its customers. On Thursday the tape was cut at a very well attended opening ceremony.
HANZA continues to grow during the crisis. Just in the last two years, four factories has been opened in Sweden, Estonia and Poland. Following the acquisition of the cable manufacturer Alfaram in February this year, HANZA is now opening doors to modern spaces in Kokkola with big plans for new investments to broaden the range of their services. All together the group now has 13 factories in 6 countries.
"It's great to have the opportunity to be one of the few who invests in a recession," says Berndt Schalin, strategic developers HANZA. "Over the past two years HANZA has invested approximately EUR 9 million on manufacturing equipment to be on the cutting-edge among its colleagues."
HANZA differentiate from other contract manufacturers by having a complete set of manufacturing technologies. HANZA manufactures electronics, sheet metal, machining and cabling on assignment from leading European companies. "The new plant in Kokkola is a first step in the development of manufacturing technologies for thicker metal" says Janne Vähätitto, new manager in Kokkola.
"We were founded five years ago and have now reached an annual turnover of over EUR 150 million," says Thomas Lindstrom, vice president. "The reason is simple. We save costs and reduce the number of suppliers for our customers. "
