ICA store sales during November 2009

Preliminary figures put November 2009 combined sales for ICA retailers in Sweden at SEK 7,089 million, excluding VAT, up SEK 186 million or 2.7 percent compared to the same month last year. The increase for comparable units was 1.6 percent.

Since the beginning of the year, sales excluding VAT have risen by 5.0 percent to SEK 81,902 million. For comparable units, the increase for the same period was 4.2 percent.

Breakdown of November sales for ICA stores in Sweden:

Maxi ICA Stormarknad stores reported an increase in sales of 3.8 percent to SEK 1,982 million. The increase for comparable units was 0.5 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 9.9 percent to SEK 22,344 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 6.7 percent.

ICA Kvantum stores reported an increase in sales of 2.2 percent to SEK 1,722 million. The increase for comparable units was 0.9 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.4 percent to SEK 19,749 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.1 percent.

ICA Supermarket stores reported an increase in sales of 2.5 percent to SEK 2,320 million. The increase for comparable units was 2.7 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 3.5 percent to SEK 26,908 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.7 percent.

ICA Nära stores reported an increase in sales of 1.9 percent to SEK 1,065 million. The increase for comparable units was 2.3 percent. Accumulated sales have increased by 2.7 percent to SEK 12,901 million, whilst comparable units have increased by 3.3 percent.
