KONGSBERG AUTOMOTIVE AWARDED SUPPLY CONTRACT OF REAR CENTER ARMRESTS FOR GLOBAL AUTO MAKER Kongsberg Automotive (KA) has been awarded a contract for a rear center armrest from a global auto maker. The contract is based on KA’s proven ability to manufacture multiple design solutions of armrests and is intended for use on a new fuel efficient small car platform. The contract has a value of MEUR 3.9 or MNOK 34. Start of production is scheduled for 2010 and will be manufactured in the company’s Milan, Tennessee facility. KA has worked diligently to increase the armrest business in North America. This is part of our strategy to increase the KA content per customer vehicle. From a manufacturing standpoint, armrests are using similar production processes as our head restraints. This contract is our second armrest award in less than 12 months. “We have made a major push to expand our portfolio within the interior systems market.
