Portsmouth solicitor acting for victims says plea is vindication of allegations

Jersey abuse victim’s solicitor Alan Collins, Director of Portsmouth-based Verisona Solicitors and Advocates, says that the plea of guilty entered today at the Royal Courts of Justice in St. Helier by Michael Aubin is a vindication of the allegations.

It is reported that Aubin has pleaded guilty to a number of sexual abuse charges in relation to the allegations made by numerous former residents of the Haut de la Garenne children’s home in Jersey.

Mr. Collins is seeking compensation for clients in respect of the abuse they suffered as children.

He says, ” I believe the victims are being vindicated; the plea of guilty puts to rest the suspicion in some minds that all was well at Haut de la Garenne, that the abuse never happened, because clearly it did”.
