Her 40-minute presentation was well received by the intensely interested audience. She shared her story of how she founded experience company Red Letter Days, her life as a successful businesswoman, through to her painful decision to go through the insolvency process, which she described as ‘like turning off the life support system of one of your children.’ Rachel also described her life now, after insolvency. She runs her own successful consultancy firm, and has become a best-selling author with her book, Business Nightmares. She told the audience “My life direction changed – for the better.” The event was attended by over 150 local business delegates, who were also treated to an introductory viewing of the latest Intech presentation entitled ‘Rocket Man’. Director of Portland Business Recovery Carl Faulds said: “Rachel’s presentation was both enjoyable and informative; she is a real-life example that insolvency doesn’t necessarily mean the end of the world and it is possible to bounce back from difficult circumstances.” -Ends- Words: 219
