Appointments in Metsä Group's management

Juha Jumppanen has been appointed EVP, Metsä Forest as of November 1, 2021. Metsä Forest is responsible for Metsä Group’s wood sourcing and forest services. Jumppanen has worked at Metsä Forest in various positions related to wood sourcing and forest services since 2000. He will move to his new role from the position of SVP, Finnish Wood Trade and Forest Services.

Jaakko Anttila has been appointed EVP, Metsä Wood as of January 1, 2022. Metsä Wood is responsible for Metsä Group's wood products business. Anttila has worked in Metsä Group's pulp and sawn timber business, Metsä Fibre, in various management positions since 2011. He will move to his new role from the position of Metsä Fibre's SVP, Pulp Production.

In their new positions, Jumppanen and Anttila report to Metsäliitto Cooperative's COO Juha Mäntylä.

Tomi Salo has been appointed Metsä Group's SVP, Corporate Affairs as of November 1, 2021. He has worked at Metsä Forest since 2019. He will move to his new role from the position of SVP, International Wood Sourcing. He reports to Ilkka Hämälä, Metsä Group’s President and CEO.
