In addition to the proposal on the election of the Chairman and other members of the company's Board of Directors included in the notice to attend the Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 2 April, the Nomination Committee proposes the election of Joakim Rubin as a new member of the Nobia Board.

Joakim Rubin was born in 1960 and is a partner in the CapMan Group, which now owns 7.7 per cent of the shares in Nobia. Joakim Rubin's previous experience includes working as Head of Corporate Finance at Handelsbanken.

CapMan is a Nordic risk-capital company that was founded in 1988 and is listed on the NASDAQ OMX in Helsinki. CapMan owns companies such as the MQ clothing chain and Cederroth International and is now Nobia's fifth largest owner.

"Since CapMan announced a 5-per cent ownership on 2 March 2009 and has subsequently acquired additional shares in the company, we are pleased to propose another representative from an active owner as a Board member," says Fredrik Palmstierna, Chairman of the Nomination Committee.

Compared with the preceding year, the Nomination Committee's proposal has an unchanged number of Board members (nine members) since Harald Mix has declined re-election.
