Measuring program in the Førdefjord completed

On 6 August 2014, the measuring program for water circulation and hydrographic data in the Førdefjord was finalised after 12 months of measuring at 11 metering stations. Data from the last measuring period will be reported later in August.

CEO Ivar S. Fossum comments: “We are very satisfied that the measuring program is completed and that we successfully have gathered all water circulation data and hydrographic data as requested by the Ministry of Climate and Environment.”

DNV GL, who has carried out the measuring program, is currently analysing the last data set. The results will be published later in August. DNV GL is preparing a report for the 12 months measuring period which will be submitted to the Ministry of Climate and Environment together with other reports on the requested supplementary information. Nordic Mining targets to submit all the requested supplementary information to the Ministry in September 2014.
