Ovzon awarded contract for SATCOM-as-a-Service to support Colombia’s presidential election

Ovzon and Colombian partner Bansat were awarded a five-month contract to guarantee contingency communications at remote polling stations for the upcoming presidential elections in Colombia, held on 29 May 2022. The order is valued at 160,000 USD.

The Colombian government chose Ovzon’s SATCOM-as-a-Service solution due to its guaranteed reliability, performance, mobility, and ease of use.

Many polling stations within Colombia do not have the adequate communications infrastructure to support an event as important as a presidential election. Ovzon’s SATCOM-as-a-Service offering to the Colombian government includes satellite coverage and bandwidth as well as the industry-leading Ovzon T6 mobile satellite terminals.
