The European Commission has today announced that it approves the internal injection of capital from PostNord Group AB to Post Denmark of DKK 2.3 billion. The injection took place in 2018 and 2019.

“The approval decision is both welcome and gratifying. It’s positive that the Commission shares our view that the internal injection has been granted in accordance with market conditions and thus does not constitute state aid. I’m also pleased with the recent improvement in the Group’s results and the fact that we are now financially strong, which means that we can continue to invest in PostNord’s development in all markets,” says Group CFO Viktor Davidsson.

At the same time, the European Commission has announced that the capital injection of SEK 667 million that PostNord AB received from its owners, the Swedish and Danish states, in 2018 needs to be recovered.

“We’re now awaiting a decision from our owners on the next step,” says Viktor Davidsson.
