Wanja Lundby-Wedin re-elected president of the LO Our strength lies in our unity

On Sunday June 1st 2008, Wanja Lundby-Wedin was re-elected president of the LO for a third term.

Wanja Lundby-Wedin predicted that the next four years will be tough and outlined three strategies for success: - “The first is, of course, for us to have as many members as possible. The second is to have strong collective agreements. The third is to continue our cooperation with the Social Democrat Party to improve working conditions. All of this has to be done at local, national and international level.” - “I myself will do my utmost to ensure that the Swedish workers’ organisation continues to be the world’s strongest trade union movement”, she promised.
