Even though the magnitude of the project, at this point, is not as large as previous projects with this customer, it is very gratifying that they are once again choosing us as a partner for a new project and thus deepening our relationship. With the exceptional combination of the marketing leading performance of our 60 GHz TRX BF/01 mmWave RFIC and this innovative 2D antenna design, we will be able to offer state-of-the-art performance with beam steering in both vertical and horizontal planes. The name change is part of a larger marketing and branding work that we have been working on for a long time to clarify the common identity within the Group and to further clarify and strengthen our profile towards investors and customers on a global level. The photonics market is exploding, and III-V compound semiconductors will be a critical technology in consumer electronics and in many other products over the next 10 years. We have many new potential customers in these new verticals requesting discussions. Updating our business area name to Photonics from Fiber best reflects future market demand

Winning this follow-up order with the established Fortune 100 customer is evidence of our innovative and high-quality semiconductor devices and brings the total order value we have with this company to about SEK50m in less than a year. This is a very important breakthrough order for us in China as we expect it to generate substantial revenue for us in the coming years through follow-up orders. The first quarter’s good growth gives a taste of our business model’s strength. Net sales nearly doubled in the quarter, and we are now starting to see that our wireless operations are driving growth. The fiber area is also expanding, but at a slightly lower growth rate.
During my time at Sivers IMA I have never before seen such a strong customer interest, and this applies to both our business areas. Lead times can sometimes be long, but our development during the first quarter gives a taste of the potential of our business. We are involved in many exciting customers' projects and I look forward with excitement.
The strong interest in our 5G technology since MWC has led to a record number of customers evaluating our solutions, and I am convinced this will result in many future design wins. Over the last year we have been working with Ampleon on our 5G consortium, which has resulted in a 28 GHz 5G transceiver chip that is now ready for customer testing. The current chip will be able to address the small cell and customer premises equipment (CPE) market for fixed wireless accesses and some other use cases. Now, we have also agreed with Ampleon to address the specific demand from the top tier OEMs to also offer a solution for 5G base stations
For all electronic components, it's a very important milestone to have completed this qualification. Now we can safely sell our products in volume. We are now entering a very exciting phase, where the TRX BF01 is already sold to for example CCS, which is now building unlicensed 5G systems around England in multiple locations

The BH laser diode development project will enable CST Global to offer new products to a known high demand market. With this new capability and the last years investments in the CST Global factory in Scotland, we will further increase our abilities and broaden the addressable market.
Adding InP epitaxial overgrowth to our foundry capability brings a critical production process in-house, where previously it was out-sourced. It not only mitigates production bottlenecks, but also reduces DFB laser production times. Over the past year, we have significantly increased the capacity of our factory in Scotland to ensure our ability to deliver products worth at least MSEK 250 - 300 per year, depending on product mix.
I am excited to announce an agreement for our 5G products with yet another leading product company for our 5G products. The company has been instrumental in delivering powerful mmWave coonectivity solutions throughout the world and boasts many of the top tier operators as customers. As a complement to the earlier announced partnerships, this will be a close co-operation with a company that has been an active and driving source in the point-to-multipoint market for micro- and millimeterwave for a long time.
