Skanska builds homes and offices for Aranäs properties in Kungsbacka, for SEK 305 M

Skanska has signed an agreement with Aranäs properties on the construction of two multifamily houses and one office building in central Kungsbacka, Sweden. The contract is worth about SEK 305 M, which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska Sweden for the second quarter 2019.

The buildings are built in Valand, a complete new part of the city, which connects the city centre with Kungsmässan Köpcentrum. In total seven blocks will be built containing both homes and businesses.

– We are happy to gain the trust from Aranäs to be involved and continue to develop Kungsbacka. We have already collaborated on another stage, which gave us good experiences building on this exciting urban development project, says Lotta Cvach, district manager, Skanska Sverige AB.

The three buildings comprise in total 18,000 square meters and will become between four to five floors high.

The construction work will begin in the fourth quarter of 2019 and the houses will be ready for occupancy during from the end of 2021 until February 2022.
