Smoltek Semi Moves Closer to Establishing Pilot Production Line for CNF-MIM Capacitors
This press release is an English version of the previously published Swedish version, which has interpretive precedence.
Smoltek Nanotech Holding AB (publ) ("Smoltek" or the "Company") announces that its subsidiary Smoltek Semi is approaching pilot production of CNF-MIM capacitors. This is part of a collaboration with the Taiwanese research institute Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). Together, the parties have established the technical framework to establish a pilot production line – a milestone on the path towards future industrialization of capacitor technology.
In early March, Smoltek Semi met with ITRI management to finalize the technical details for the establishment of a pilot production line for Smoltek’s CNF-MIM capacitors. The framework includes several time-bound project blocks, where each step is carefully planned and evaluated to ensure a stable and efficient development process. In parallel, the development of Smoltek's CNF-MIM technology continues, where each prototype generation – currently CNF-MIM Gen-One – is tested and improved in multiple iterations to optimize performance.
The establishment of the pilot production is an important part of Smoltek Semi's strategy to enable future volume production of CNF-MIM capacitors, a groundbreaking technology that meets the semiconductor industry's growing need for high-performance and space-saving solutions.
