Stockholm, Sweden, May 2009 - TagMaster, a global leader in high performance long-range RFID solutions for Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI), Transportation and Access Control Applications, launches the new MarkTag MeM duo at the 2009 IPI Conference and Expo in Denver, Colorado 17-20 May. This new ID-tag is the latest addition to TagMaster’s Access family of RFID tags and is a highly versatile solution designed to suite a range of applications such as true hands-free People Access, Parking, Condominium, Gated Communities and Restricted Area applications.

MarkTag MeM duo contains long-range technology and can be equipped with various proximity ProxyTags fitted into a separate compartment in the tag. The duo version provides versatility; it employs the possibility to choose between different short range identification standards for different systems - from different vendors.

The MarkTag MeM duo uses new long range antenna technology that not only provides enhanced signal sensitivity but also gives a wider and longer-range reading lobe that does not require the tag to be precisely placed in any specific location relative to the reader. It has a pre-programmed 8-digit unique factory set identity code and a 32 bit checksum for automatic verification.

This new tag is designed according to the latest generation Gen4 reader technology. The tags are shaped in a handy ergonomically-friendly form, coloured in two gray tones, and is ruggedly designed to be resistant to mechanical damage.

The new WinFixTM MeM holder has been specifically designed to be placed either in the windscreen of the car or on the dash-board inside the car, thus maximizing flexibility and convenience. The MarkTag MeM duo comes with a holder that allows for easy access and removal.
