Opcon continues to grow within bioenergy – CEO to speak at Bioenergy conference

Svensk Rökgasenergi (SRE), a subsidiary of Opcon AB, the energy and environmental technology Group, has received an additional two orders this week concerning SRE’s technology that utilises waste heat and increases the efficiency of burning biomass. One of these orders is for a delivery to a district heating plant in Lerum via HOTAB, while the other order is for a district heating plant in Menzingen, Switzerland. Together with orders previously announced for Vattenfall’s plant at Gustavsberg, a greenhouse in Belgium and Saxlund’s extra order for Vattenfall’s plant in Jordbro, it means that several new orders have been received just in the past week. “With its focus on energy and environmental technology, Opcon has established a strong position within the expanding bioenergy sector where we have noted strong interest in our products. The stream of orders received in the past week is further proof of this. Today, the Opcon Group can offer a broad product portfolio within bioenergy, covering everything from design of complete bioenergy plants including electricity production to delivery of individual handling systems, flue gas condensation, drying of biomass or electricity generation. We have also built up the financial muscle we need to strengthen our position both in Sweden and abroad,” says Rolf Hasselström, President and CEO of Opcon AB, speaking ahead of his involvement at the Bioenergy conference being arranged by SVEBIO in Linköping.
