Veidekke to build double tracks and motorway in Sweden

Veidekke Entreprenad AB has been awarded the contract by Banverket to build a double railway track and a motorway on a stretch of the development of Vänerbanan and the E45 motorway between Trollhättan and Gothenburg. The value of the contract is SEK 255 million.


The contract comprises the development of 1.3 kilometres of double track on Vänerbanan, 800 metres of motorway on the E45 between Agnesberg and Marieholm, two major railway bridges across the Lärjeån River, as well as extensive cabling.


The works will commence in December 2009 and planned completion is in May 2012.
