Veidekke to build two office buildings for Thon in Oslo
Veidekke Entreprenør AS has been awarded contracts to build two new office buildings in the centre of Oslo (Pilestredet 56 and Rosenkrantz gate 16-18). The client is the Olav Thon Gruppen represented by Thongård AS and Olav Thon Eiendomsselskap ASA. Covering 17,000 sqm in all, the buildings are turnkey projects. Total value of the contracts is NOK 209 million excluding VAT.
The project in Pilestredet 56 is an 8,800 m2 office building with six storeys and two basement storeys. The building will be constructed in situ concrete with facades of plaster and glass. Work has already started and will be completed in August 2010.
The project in Rosenkrantz gate 16-18 is an 8,000 m2 office building with seven storeys and two basement storeys. The building will be constructed in situ concrete with facades of concrete and glass. A level U1 to level 7 atrium will be built and enclosed by a glass roof built over level 7. Work will start in early January 2010 and be completed the summer of 2011.
