Victoria Park previously published information about negotiations regarding a barter transaction with municipal companies in Gothenburg whereby Victoria Park was to acquire a housing portfolio in Rannebergen, Angered, from Göteborgs Stads Bostadsaktiebolag and transfer a plot land in Lövgärdet, Angered to Bostadsaktiebolaget Poseidon.

The Framtiden Group has informed Victoria Park that the negotiations have been discontinued. Framtiden stated that it had received information from the police that Victoria Park had engaged a contractor with criminal associations.

Victoria Park is not aware of the information to which Framtiden is referring.

“We have received the Framtiden Group’s decision and seen reports circulating in the media regarding our renovations in Lövgärdet, which is new information for us. We will promptly establish our own understanding of the matter and take any action that is necessary. According to discussions with the police, no investigation is currently being conducted. We have procedures in place for checking the contractors that we engage in order to ensure that situations such as this do not arise. Such controls were also applied when this contractor was engaged and they did not give rise to any suspicions of improprieties,” says Peter Strand, CEO of Victoria Park.
