Viking Line is once again increasing the number of departures to summery Tallinn

Viking Line responds to the demand for the Helsinki–Tallinn route by increasing its capacity between 16 June and 12 August. Gabriella and Mariella make an additional journey to Tallinn on alternate days, and Viking XPRS on Sundays during the summer.

Tallinn is becoming an increasingly popular destination – especially during the summer season. Viking Line increases the number of departures on the Helsinki–Tallinn route for the fifth summer to offer customers more flexible timetables and more space for cars compared to the winter season.

Mariella and Gabriella sail the Tallinn route on alternate days during the summer. An additional departure is added for Viking XPRS on Sundays from 17 June.

-       Our customers have a better opportunity to explore summery Tallinn, since on Sundays during the summer, for example, Viking XPRS’s last departure from Tallinn to Helsinki is at 22.15. On other days, passengers can sleep on board and wake up in Helsinki at 10.30, says Viking Line’s Route Manager Jaakko Ahti.

Mariella’s and Gabriella’s additional departures during the summer also offer the opportunity for a picnic cruise from Helsinki to Tallinn. During the six-hour cruise, the ship makes a quick stop in Tallinn. For the children, we offer playrooms and entertainment, and for the adults, there is shopping and tasty meals regardless of the weather. The car can be conveniently parked on board the ship during the journey.

-       A picnic cruise is a great option for a one-day adventure for families with children or grandparents with their grandchildren. The mini cruise that departs from Helsinki at 21.15, where passengers sleep on board, is also great for tourists headed for Helsinki, Jaakko Ahti points out.
