WILDWOOD PR GETS INTO THE FESTIVE SPIRIT WITH HELP FROM THE DAME VERA LYNN TRUST FOR CHILDREN WITH CHILDREN WITH CEREBRAL PALSY

Sussex-based Wildwood PR’s Christmas card recipients will be treated to a mixture of festive artwork and goodwill thanks to a successful charity project involving the Dame Vera Lynn Trust. The newly formed partnership tasked the under-five’s, from the school based in Billingshurst, to design a traditional Christmas card for business partners, colleagues and friends with a creative edge.

The winning design, named by students as “Reindeer in Christmas Wood”, is a collage of three separate images including a reindeer made from handprints and a tree from footprints.

“The children and staff have done such a fantastic job creating our Christmas cards. This project has been great fun, while bringing us closer to local charities and opening our eyes to the great work that they do,” says Tanya Houston, Managing Director, Wildwood PR. “We are so grateful to the Dame Vera Lynn Trust for making our card such a success. Since our first correspondence, we have certainly been drawn to the charity and their events. Two of our employees have walked on fire, raising just under £400 and we all enjoyed the Christmas party at Ghyll Manor for their Amy Winehouse tribute event, where all profits will go directly to the Trust.”

The cards were created by Wildwood’s design team, using two pictures from the children and their own marketing flair.

“The Dame Vera Lynn Trust was absolutely delighted with the Christmas cards presented by Wildwood and will be very much looking forward to sharing them with, and selling to, staff and parents,” adds Rosie Wyer, Regional Fundraiser, Dame Vera Lynn Trust. “A massive thank you to everyone at Wildwood PR, from all of us at the Trust.”

Founded in 2001, the Dame Vera Lynn Trust for Children with Cerebral Palsy provides a specialist service for families of young children, under the age of five, with cerebral palsy and other motor learning difficulties. The services provided are all free, the trust receives no statutory funding and they rely entirely on support of the community to raise funds. This is done mainly through community events, corporate support, collections and donations.
